All ISUG members receive the following benefits:
Quarterly Issue of ISUG Journal > Each member
receives a print copy of the quarterly ISUG journal interChange, which
contains news and articles from leading SGML and XML practitioners.
Discounts at XML Conferences > Members receive
coupons to allow registration at IDEAlliance conferences, such as XTech 2006,
Extreme Markup Languages 2006, and XML 2006, at special discounted rates.
Access to ISO Standards Process > Members of ISUG
have access to Draft standards and ISO Working Group Materials, with the
opportunity for technical comment on ISO Standards. ISUG has official liaison
status with ISO. As such, members of the Group who are unable to participate at
their national level, can have input to the review of ISO documents through the
ISUG.
Community Services and Advocacy > ISUG performs a
service to the SGML/XML community. Membership fees help cover the maintenance of
the ISUG Web site, which provides a service to the community at large, making
information about the SGML and its related standards easily accessible. The ISUG
has also helped to fund others making contributions to the SGML community.
