1-5 February 2006
Xplor 2006, Miami Beach, Florida, USA
Xplor International is the worldwide association of the users and suppliers of the products and services that create, modify, and deliver customized information using a variety of document technologies. The Xplor 2006 conference will feature four tracks: human resources, digital pre-press, disaster recovery, and AFP. Business development, design, production, distribution, archiving -- no matter which part of the document lifecycle you're in, Xplor has you covered. Xplor International has brought together 10 different organizations, associations, and member groups to bring you the premier educational event in the document industry, with over 200 educational sessions. Whether you're an executive, technical, creative, or management-level employee, Xplor has a specific group of sessions designed specially for you.

14-19 May 2006
XTech 2006, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
XTech is the premier European conference for developers, information designers, and managers working with Web- and standards-based technologies. The theme for 2006, "Building Web 2.0," recognizes the key place of standards-based and open technology in enabling the next generation of Web applications. Building on the success of last year's conference, this year's tracks include applications, browser technology, core technologies, and open data. Formerly known as XML Europe, XTech has widened its scope to incorporate neighboring technologies from the Web and business as the use of XML extends beyond traditional core topics. As well as XML, XTech 2006 will cover Web development, Weblogging, search, the Semantic Web, and more.

23-26 May 2006
WWW2006, Edinburgh, Scotland
The 15th annual World Wide Web Conference (WWW2006) will feature papers on world-leading technical innovation, including Mobile Web, Semantic Web, and the challenges of security and privacy. Invited speakers will explore the implications and application of Web technology for government, society, and business through a series of individual presentations, panel discussions, and questions from the floor.

7-11 August 2006
Extreme Markup Languages 2006, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Extreme is an open marketplace of theories about markup and all the things that they support or that support them: the difficult cases in publishing, linguistics, transformation, searching, indexing, storage and retrieval, the things you wish you could do in XML so much that you're thinking of creating your own markup system. At Extreme, markup enthusiasts gather each year to trade in ideas, not to convince management to buy new stuff. Extreme actively seeks controversy, not just the same old applications.

Call for Participation. Looking for a theory to apply? Got one to market? Want a cause to support for your next open-source project? Got a good implementation story to tell? Have a new approach to handling overlapping markup or treating non-XML data as if it were XML? Any opinions on the future of XML or one of the XML-related specifications? Do you make real demands of markup technology? Do you have an approach to modeling, creation, manipulation, or display of markup? If you do, we want to hear from you at Extreme! (Deadlines: Peer Review applications are due by March 24, 2006; tutorial proposals by March 24; and paper submissions by April 7.)

4-8 December 2006
XML 2006, Boston, Massachusetts, USA
XML 2006 Conference and Exposition, once again produced by IDEAlliance, will give attendees the chance to hear what they need to know in order to build or improve the XML-based systems in their organizations, be they business, government, academic, or consumer.
